Arrest and search warrants are two of the most common kinds of warrants issued by courts in the Windham County area. The former allows police officers to apprehend a designated individual when a criminal investigation establishes probable cause that they committed or participated in the offense, while the latter authorizes a lawful search of a specified premises, vehicle, or property for criminal evidence.

Per C.G.S. § 54-33c, search warrants automatically become public records after their execution and return to the issuing court unless sealed by order of the court.
